Channels
Which channels does Maqetin send on today?
Email. Push, SMS, WhatsApp, in-app messages and in-app calls are planned.
Can I send from my own domain?
Yes. Email goes out from your own domain, with every send, open and click on the person's profile.
How does a journey work?
A journey starts when a customer acts, waits as long as you say, checks what they did since, and sends the next email.
Developers
How do events reach Maqetin?
Add the SDK and call identify() and track() in your app, or call the routes yourself from a language that has no SDK.
Which SDKs are available?
JavaScript, in the browser and on your server. Python, Go, iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter are planned.
Can I send transactional email?
Yes. One request to the send API from your server names the template, the person and the data. It needs a secret key.
Data and privacy
Where is customer data stored?
In the European Union. Some providers, such as Cloudflare, process data in other countries to deliver their service.
How long is data kept?
A workspace's events and message records for 365 days, and its profiles until the customer deletes them.
What happens when someone asks for their data?
You can export a person's profile, events and messages, or delete them from every store and end their journeys. Deleted data ages out of backups within 35 days.
Who at Maqetin can see my data?
Staff act in your workspace only with a stated reason. A banner shows it the whole time, and every request is recorded.
Do you sign a data processing agreement?
The data processing agreement forms part of the terms of service and applies automatically to every workspace.
Which subprocessors does Maqetin use?
Hetzner Online, Cloudflare and PostHog. Maqetin emails you at least 30 days before the list changes.
