Push notifications
6.1If you send push notifications to iOS apps through Maqetin, you appoint us as your service provider under your agreement with Apple (the Apple Developer Program License Agreement, "Apple's agreement"). We use your Apple push key, key id, team id and app ids ("Apple credentials") only on your behalf, only to send the push notifications you set up, and only as Apple's agreement lets a service provider do.
6.2We will:
- keep your Apple credentials secret, encrypt them separately for each workspace, and never show them again after you add them;
- never use them for anyone else's app or for anything you did not set up;
- never ask for, hold or use a certificate or key that signs or submits an app to the App Store;
- follow the terms of Apple's agreement and Apple's documentation that apply to a service provider;
- tell you within 48 hours if we learn that your Apple credentials were exposed, so you can tell Apple;
- end our use of your Apple credentials, and delete them, when you remove them, when you tell us to, or when Apple requires you to end your use of us.
6.3Where these terms protect Apple less than Apple's agreement requires of a service provider, Apple's agreement prevails for how we use Apple's services.
6.4You stay responsible to Apple for what we do or fail to do under this clause, as Apple's agreement says, and for your own compliance with it. You keep your Apple developer account in good standing. If Apple requires you to end your use of us, we will help you move.
6.5You must:
- send marketing push, meaning any push that advertises, promotes or sells, including up-selling and cross-selling, only to people who agreed to it in your app, through consent wording shown in the app, and give them a way to opt out in the app;
- send no push to anyone who has not allowed notifications in their device settings, or who has withdrawn that permission;
- send no unsolicited, deceptive or spam push;
- not try to hide, override or get around Apple's own consent screens or settings.
